Agendas for Annual Parish Meetings

The Annual Parish Meeting is a meeting of the local community, giving residents the chance to hear about the work of the Parish Council and other local groups over the past year. It’s an opportunity for residents to ask questions, raise issues, and celebrate achievements within the parish. Unlike Parish Council meetings, this event is open to all electors and is a chance for everyone to have their say. The agenda for each Annual Parish Meeting is published at least seven clear days in advance.

It is held annually in April for Langford and in May for Ulting.

There will be 15 minutes available for public participation.  This is the only time that the public will be allowed to speak during a meeting.  Please note:

  • Those wishing to speak should give their name to the clerk
  • The Chairman will call upon those wishing to speak in turn and they will be invited to make a brief representation or to comment on an agenda item
  • Questions will not normally receive an immediate answer but the Chairman will respond in due course
  • All persons wishing to speak must address the Chairman
  • Councillors will not enter into discussion with those asking questions at the meeting
  • Attendees are free to leave the hall at any point but are asked to do so without causing disruption to the meeting
  • Members of the press and public may be asked to leave the meeting if an item of a confidential nature needs to be discussed
